Booking and cancellation conditions for single-day and half-day experiences.

These conditions apply to all Alpine Vertigo activities booked for a single half day or full day, whether privately or as part of a group. They include ski coaching, snowboard coaching, off-piste skiing, the Vallée Blanche and other winter and summer experiences.
A programme sold as one booking over several days is covered by our Multi-Day Programmes & Stays conditions. Where separate activities are booked independently, each booking is assessed against its own scheduled start.
Read these conditions with your written booking confirmation and our Terms & Conditions. The version communicated and accepted at booking applies. Updated wording does not retrospectively change an existing booking. Mandatory statutory rights take precedence.

Your confirmation specifies the activity, date, scheduled duration, meeting point, participants, total price, inclusions, exclusions and participation requirements. “Half day” and “full day” refer to the duration stated in that confirmation; they do not imply a fixed number of hours across all activities.
A booking is confirmed after availability has been checked, the written proposal and conditions have been accepted, and the required payment has been received.
Unless a different payment schedule has been expressly agreed in writing:
An advance payment is credited towards the agreed price. It is not an additional cancellation charge. Cancellation charges are calculated under section 04, rather than by automatically retaining the amount initially paid.

Send your cancellation to contact@alpinevertigo.com, giving your name, booking reference, activity and date.
The notice period runs from receipt of your email to the scheduled start, using local time at the activity location. For activities in France, this is Europe/Paris time. One day means 24 hours. Exactly 15 days before the start falls within the “15 days or less” band.

Payments already received are credited against the cancellation charge. Any excess is refunded; any balance remains payable, subject to applicable law. No additional administration fee is imposed by this schedule.
Illness, injury, travel disruption and other personal circumstances follow this schedule, subject to statutory rights and applicable force majeure rules. A claim under your own insurance is assessed by your insurer under its policy.

Changes to the date, time or participants depend on availability and require written confirmation. If a requested change cannot be agreed and you cancel, section 04 applies, subject to your statutory rights.
Please arrive at the agreed meeting point ready to begin. Late arrival does not extend the scheduled finish. Time unused because of late arrival or voluntary early departure is not refundable, subject to applicable law.

Rain, snowfall, low visibility or cold does not automatically cancel an activity where the agreed service can be delivered safely. The responsible professional may make reasonable adjustments within the agreed service. A substantial change outside that service requires your agreement.
If unsafe conditions, relevant closures or another obstacle mean Alpine Vertigo cannot deliver the agreed activity and cancels it, you may choose an available alternative or a full refund of the payments received for the cancelled activity. You do not have to accept a credit or alternative.

If Alpine Vertigo cancels before the activity begins, you may choose an available alternative or a full refund.
If we interrupt the activity and cannot provide the remaining booked service, you may choose a credit or a proportional refund for the part not delivered. For time-based instruction or guiding, this is calculated using the unused booked time. Other statutory remedies remain available.

Lift passes, equipment hire, meals, transport and insurance are included only where your confirmation expressly lists them. Services you contract separately with another supplier remain governed by that supplier’s terms. This does not remove Alpine Vertigo’s responsibilities for services included in a booking sold by us.
We recommend insurance appropriate to the activity and terrain, including rescue, medical expenses, repatriation and cancellation cover. For off-piste or mountain activities, check that the relevant terrain and discipline are covered. A professional’s liability insurance does not imply personal accident or cancellation cover for you.

The usual 14-day withdrawal right for distance contracts does not apply to a leisure activity booked for a specified date or period under Article L.221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code. This exception is not automatically extended to undated services or other contracts.
