Activities include mountain guiding and ski instruction, within the professional’s qualifications and the scope agreed for your booking. Professional card: 03898ED3558, valid until 18 November 2031.

These terms apply to guiding, instruction and experiences sold directly by Alpine Vertigo. The written quote or booking confirmation specifies the dates, participants, programme, price, meeting point, inclusions, exclusions and any particular requirements.
Specific conditions expressly accepted before booking take precedence on the points they address. A service supplied and contracted directly with another professional remains subject to that professional’s terms. A website description or a conversation with EKo does not by itself confirm a booking.
These terms do not replace mandatory consumer protection or any specific rules that apply to a particular travel arrangement. The version communicated and accepted at booking applies to that booking.

A booking is confirmed after availability has been checked, the written proposal and these terms have been accepted, and the required payment has been received.
The initial payment is an advance payment towards a firm booking (an acompte under French law), not a payment allowing either party to withdraw freely. Payment methods and any different schedule appear in the written proposal.
Prices are stated in euros. The total payable, applicable taxes and any known additional charges are communicated before acceptance. Transport, accommodation, lift passes, equipment hire, meals and personal insurance are included only when expressly listed. Additional expenditure requires your agreement.
If a payment is overdue, Alpine Vertigo contacts you before suspending or cancelling the booking, subject to applicable law. A change in participant numbers or programme requires a revised agreement where it affects the price.

Before booking, describe your experience, fitness and technical ability accurately. Follow the equipment list and preparation advice, and inform the professional privately of any limitation relevant to safe participation. Do not send medical documents through the website chatbot.
The guide or instructor may adapt the route, timing, objective or group organisation in response to weather, snow, terrain, avalanche risk or the participants’ condition. Reaching a summit or completing a particular route is never guaranteed. Safety instructions must be followed; participation may be refused or stopped where continuing would be unsafe.
Mountain activities involve inherent risks, including falls, avalanches, rockfall, altitude and sudden weather changes. Acknowledging those risks does not waive your legal rights or release the professional from responsibility for a failure to exercise the required care.
For minors, the programme must be suitable and the agreement of the holder of parental authority is required. The booking specifies supervision arrangements and an emergency contact. Participants are responsible for their travel documents and for arriving at the agreed place and time.

All Alpine Vertigo activities are covered by the Cancellation Policy, with separate conditions by booking format.
Day & Half-Day Activities: more than 15 days, full refund; 15 days or less or no-show, 100% payable.
Multi-Day Programmes & Stays: more than 60 days, full refund; more than 30 to 60 days, 30%; more than 15 to 30 days, 50%; more than 7 to 15 days, 75%; 7 days or less or no-show, 100%. Percentages apply to the cancelled booking price.
Notice is measured from receipt of your email to the scheduled start. Send cancellation notices to contact@alpinevertigo.com. Existing accepted bookings remain governed by their agreed conditions. Mandatory statutory rights, including requirements for reasonable and justifiable travel cancellation charges and rights to cancel without charge where applicable, take precedence.

Reasonable safety adjustments within the agreed service do not automatically cancel the booking. A substantial change outside the agreed service requires your agreement.
If Alpine Vertigo cancels before the activity starts, you may choose an available alternative or a full refund. If we interrupt the activity and cannot deliver the remaining service, you may choose a credit or proportional refund for the unused part, without limiting other statutory remedies. See the Cancellation Policy for the full provisions.

The 14-day withdrawal right for distance contracts does not apply to leisure activities supplied on a specified date or during a specified period, under Article L.221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code. The booking cancellation rules above therefore apply to those dated activities.
This exception is not extended automatically to undated services or other contracts. Where a statutory withdrawal right applies, you receive the relevant information before booking and may exercise it by an unambiguous statement to contact@alpinevertigo.com or the postal address above. You may write: “I hereby withdraw from the contract for [service], concluded on [date]. Name, address, date and signature if sent by post.”
Where you expressly request that an eligible service begin during the withdrawal period, any payment for work already performed and any loss of the right after full performance are governed by the statutory conditions.

Professional liability insurance does not replace your personal accident, mountain rescue, search, evacuation, repatriation, medical or cancellation insurance. Before departure, check that your cover includes the planned activity, destination and altitude. Assistance and rescue expenses may fall to the participant under the applicable rules, without prejudice to the responsibility of any party at fault.
Each party remains responsible for its own obligations. No clause excludes or limits liability where doing so is prohibited, including liability for personal injury caused by the professional’s fault. Claims concerning personal property are assessed in light of the circumstances and applicable law.

Consumer mediation is available free of charge after a prior written complaint, subject to the applicable admissibility conditions, including referral within one year of that complaint. You remain free to bring proceedings before the competent court. French law governs these terms, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections applicable in their country of habitual residence. The English and French versions are intended to convey the same obligations; no translation removes a mandatory consumer right.

Website text, photographs, films and visual identity are protected by intellectual property rights. Reuse beyond legally permitted exceptions requires authorisation from the relevant rights holder. Permission to publish an identifiable participant’s image for promotion is requested separately and is not a condition of participation.
